EF for automatic reprocessing procedures of flexible endoscopes
EF is a biological indicator, designed for the validation and routine monitoring of cleaning and disinfection processes (> 35 °C) for flexible endoscopes. EF indicators are incoluated with test soil containing Enterococcus faecium (CFU > 10^9) acc. to ISO 15883. Together with PCDs the indicator is used for testing the desinfection efficacy in endoscope channels.
